I get tired of all the hype. So many online so-called guru’s and experts that promise instant results and just a few hours a day. With all of those promises they throw a fat price tag on some their product and once you buy through them they bomboard you with emails forever. It is no wonder why 95% of individuals wanting to learn how to make money online quit within the first two months. Let me share with you a simple list of core values that my favorite Donut place Dunkin Donuts and Dunk Donuts Franchise has on their website:
Our internal compass points toward our Core Values of Honesty, Transparency, Humility, Integrity, Respect, Fairness, and Responsibility.
Honesty– You can always recover from the truth
Transparency– Share your thoughts without hesitation
Humility– It’s about the team. Never lose sight of those who helped along the way or those less fortunate in our communities
Integrity– Character shows when no one is looking
Respect– Give people their dignity and earn others’ respect
Fairness– Always do the right thing, especially when it is tough to do
Responsibility– Own the outcome whether it’s good or bad
Together, our people, values, and decision-making strategy all point in one direction—up!

After reading through that it is obvious why so many online businesses fail quickly, why most people consider online entrepreneur’s nothing but scam artists and also at the same time why 95% of all those who want to learn to work from home quit so fast.
Nobody has any value’s anymore, espcecially online!
It is essential to have core values as you walk through life and as you run a business especially online. Let me also share something that disguises itself as core values. Some marketers are great with customer service. I have fallen for the trap of someone who is exceptional with online customer service as having core values. That is not always the case. So over the next few days I want to work on core values for GatorWade Marketing.
Before I do that let’s walk through the Dunk Donuts Core Values and how it might apply to an online business/entrepreneur.
Honesty– You can always recover from the truth
I find that to be a powerful phrase “you can always recover from the truth”. I think the temptation as an online entrepreneur is to appear larger than you really are. I would love to post ‘fake’ earnings results that shows i’m making thousands of dollars daily. But that isn’t true. When I am there I suck as heck will!!! It also seems many websites promote an endless amount of products and there is no way they are actively using those products. Also, if they are so good, why do they need all those products. I primarily use three products (One Week Marketing, SENuke, and Unique Article Wizard) and I do now elance out my article writing. My primary focus right now is keyword research and niche websites that make money through google ads.
That is where I am at! I enjoy working full-time online, I want to help others succeed. Right now I’m trying to ‘develop’ the best method to help those that want me to show them how to make money online through affiliate marketing. I have too many people I’m trying to show and on some days I feel like I’m helping nobody. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Transparency– Share your thoughts without hesitation
So many sites that are anything but transparent. They have photos with the big house and the swimming pool but its really just a stock photo. I hope everyone who reads my site GatorWade Marketing sees my transparency but without a doubt I understand why people are hesitant. Most view online business professionals as only trying to scam you.
Humility– It’s about the team. Never lose sight of those who helped along the way or those less fortunate in our communities.
I do remember who helped me along the way. It was PotPie Girl and her amazing guide One Week Marketing. It cost me around forty dollars and I’ve never looked back. She took the time to answer my pesky technical emails. She went out of her way. This is why I created this site. I want to help those that are wanting to earn money online. I know what’s its like to give Google Adwords thousands of dollars and lose it all!! I know what its like to study method after method and see no results for months. It’s tough! But it was important for me to get help along the way and to find my breaking point.
Integrity– Character shows when no one is looking
My favorite definition of Character comes from Pastor Bill Hybels who defines it as who you are when nobody is looking. When you work online its kind of a catch 22. Nobody is looking and yet everybody is looking! I just keep plugging away working hard one day at a time. I set goals and I hope I answer as many questions along the way to help people. The truth is everyone follow’s a system to get started but in time you stray way from that system you learned because you develop your own habits and find new things that work along the way. My hope is that when someone comes across my site they know I have an integrity that demonstrates my willingness to truly help them and point them in the right direction if they really want it.
I’ll be blunt about this. There are a lot of lazy people who seek work online. They want a system handed to them and a system that goes into autopilot fast. If you want to earn a living online you have to work hard daily at it. There are no shortcuts. It is hard work and very time consuming. But most importantly you have to be hungry to succeed. You have to want it! I can not put that fire in your belly. I want you to succeed and I will answer as many questions as I possibly can but you have to work at it.
Respect– Give people their dignity and earn others’ respect
Show respect online has the same principle as in real life but it may look different. It means finding something good about what they are doing. It means taking the time to comment on their blogs and posts because you are growing a professional friendship with them. It means making their work and website a priority. Responding to their tweets. Valuing them and their work online. Social Networking means you have to be social and you need to network. If you do not do these things…its hard to see how you respect them. The greatest compliment is purchasing their product and testing it out.
Fairness– Always do the right thing, especially when it is tough to do.
I’m not sure how many times I have given my email out and the owner promised not to share it or spam me with stuff. They lied right to my face. One thing I try to do that is fair is only promote products that I use on a regular basis and only use products that promise some sort of guarantee. I do not consider myself that big of a deal yet on the internet but I know others have link shared with me and someday I hope to return that favor.
Responsibility– Own the outcome whether it’s good or bad
Responsibility for a website. Standing behind your words, promotions, and promises. I have tried to launch my own club but have put it on the back burner. It made promises that I was not able to commit to just yet. Promises that were very time consuming and I was not ready for that commitment. I’m hoping to launch ‘Gator Club’ this summer but we will see. If I say I’m good at finding keywords I need to be able to show you how to do it. I think that’s at the heart of online responsibility. If I claim ‘get traffic to your site’ well I better be able to show you how that it is done.
As I work through my own core values for my online business and this website it is important to really take a look at myself, what I believe, and what I believe I can ‘honestly’ do for people to help them succeed online. I’m tired of visiting sites that are fully of empty promises and snake oil salesman. I want GatorWade Marketing to have character and deep core values to that I can be a blessing to others and when somebody blogs or emails somebody else about GatorWade and GatorWade Marketing I can be proud of what they are saying about me.
