A lot of hosting providers promise Wordpress Auto Install but does your hosting provider really have the goods or not? Many bloggers or small businesses do not have the time or want to mess with the difficulty of installing Wordpress on their own so they look for hosting providers that promise Wordpress Auto Install before they sign up. The problem is that figuring out where that one click auto install can be found might take you longer than actually uploading wordpress via ftp.
One of the nice features about the latest version of Wordpress 2.7 and up is that when Wordpress does upgrade the system within your wordpress site you can update with the click of a button. In fact when you first log into your Wordpress system it will tell you in the upper right hand corner that a new version of Wordpress is available. You can select update and it will update automatically without having to manually upload it yourself.
That being said how you do go about doing a Wordpress Auto Install? Well most hosting companies use a third party system to install Wordpress on your site. It usually is a script that is built in. I use and recommend HostGator for my hosting services. I pay $8.99 a month and it is unlimited everything! My screenshots are taken from my HostGator Cpanel.
Step One
So the first thing you need to do is look for some sort of scripting service at your Cpanel. It probably will be called Fantastico. Click on it!

Step Two
Find Wordpress on the left hand side and go ahead and click on it!

Step Three
Fill out the appropriate information for where you want WordPress installed. You have installed WordPress!

You are now done with the one click installation!

Again, I recommend using HostGator for your hosting needs. I have never had a problem with them and their customer support was always very fast and helpful and I talked to somebody from the country I was calling from.
