Making your own chicken coop does not take much especially with the materials you will be employing. There are some standard requisites that will make for a decent looking, convenient-to-care chicken house.

Wood

You will need some wood to construct a chicken coop. This is perhaps one of the most essential chicken house materials you will need. Find treated wood that are water repellant.
