How rejection can make you a stronger business professional

Rejected, Rejected, Rejected again. Before long you being to think you are not cut out to be a sales person or very wrong for Multi Level Marketing. Learning to cope with a prospect or customer saying no isn’t always easy. Even worse is when they turn evil on you for having approached them in the first place. Don’t worry about it. Don’t worry about any of it. Brush it off and say to yourself it is part of the job. Because of this, I believe that how a sales person reacts to rejection should be in his or her job description and evaluated as a performance indicator.

Do not let rejection from a closed minded individual discourage the growth of your business. When I started my first home business, I was full of vinegar and ready to promote the program like a champion. I was prepared to promote the business like no one had ever promoted it before. After I spoke with a few acquaintances and made a couple of phone calls, I soon realized not everyone believed in the system as much as I did.

Not only that, but some of my contacts were reluctant to talk about it at all. So, I pressed on. Press on, there will be more. There will be many, many more individuals interested in your opportunity or products. Don”t let the few ruin what the masses hold in true market potential.

A few years ago, I came to the realization that it was ok to be rejected. Now it isn’t a significant event at all for me when an individual tells me to pack sand. Understanding why you are being rejected helps. There are a number of reasons including the prospect is simply being a jerk. However, most of the time they either have been burned in the past or have already been approached by a competitor. So once you have made up your mind you have done all you can do, move on to greener pastures.

No one likes to be rejected. But when you are, let it go and move on. You simply can not allow someone else’s opinion affect your business building power. It is your business and you are going to grow it despite being rejected by numerous prospects. You are your business, without you there is no business.

After every single time you are rejected by a prospect, conduct an after action review with yourself. Go over every point and decide what you could have said better. Over time you will be presented with the same questions and you will have better answers. Make the most of your rejection. Looking at it this way, your terrible encounters with prospects will only make you better.

Self esteem and knowing that what you are doing is right for you, will help you fight rejection. Believe in yourself and keep going. If you get knocked down, you know what to do. Get back up and find another prospect, make another call and set up another meeting. Fighting rejection is a mental game and it gets easier the longer you learn how to deal with it.

Stay the course entrepreneur. You can grow your business strong despite a few rejections. I operate a MyWorldPlus business and it has not been any different. However, I will grow my business because I am persistent. Be persistent be strong and let it go when you are rejected.
